Bisphenol A is a chemical substance used to make plastic materials. Apparently, this substance has an influence on people’s hormonal system, creating endocrine disruptions. The most vulnerable to such effects are babies and children.
Although the extent of its damage to health is unclear, there has been an alarm about the possible toxicity of tickets taken from thermal printers. Therefore, from Fenix Imvico, we believe it is convenient to clarify the following points:
1. Bisphenol A has not been, is not, nor will be present in the thermal printers themselves. Rather, its content (in very low quantities) has been found on paper. Even so, paper rolls that do not contain bisphenol A have already been developed. Our thermal printers are completely suitable for paper free of such substance and ensure 100% operational operation. In addition, the life of the printer will not be affected.
2. As of January 2nd, 2020, the European Union regulations will be implemented that require the use of thermal paper with a concentration of bisphenol A less than 0.02% of its weight. So it is guaranteed that all thermal printer tickets will be completely safe in the EU territory.
3. The new paper developed has the same advantages in terms of speed and quality, while being healthier with the environment and has no harmful effects on health.
